BEACH HAVEN CHARTER FISHING FLEET
Local Historians have told me that my father was commissioned to photograph the Beach Haven Charter Fishing Fleet. I was also told it was for a Color Brocure (I have never seen one, if any still exist). I did find the boat negatives, and the time line was about 1938. A treasure, however, was that my Mom still had, and saved for me, the original hand colored prints. They are approximatly 8"x10" prints mounted to 11"x14" mat boards. They also had hand lettered placards with the boat and Captains' names attached to each mat. I separately scanned the placards so I could superimpose it to each simulated mat on the reproductions shown here. These images reproduced here were not scanned from the original negatives, but rather scanned from the hand colored prints. Please enjoy. Note that of the 14 boats, 9 were owned by brothers. If any surviving relatives are interested, I will make a print for you at no cost to you.
